From the Atikokan Progress: The Path of the Paddle – the section of the TransCanada Trail that winds through Northwestern Ontario – is putting the final pieces of the puzzle together to have the trail here ready in time for Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017.
‘Kick-ass Canadian’ Carrie Nolan has been hired to serve as general manager of the district committee, which oversees the 1,000 km, mostly water, trail from Thunder Bay to Manitoba. And Atikokan’s Lise Sorensen has been hired as the trails officer for this area. To read the article, click here.
